Going Into Year 10...........

Ok, so on the 3rd of September is a very big day. I am starting my first day as a Year 10. I joined in Year nine on January the 6th 2015. So i've been at my school for 7 months. Not bad.

Now my school is a boarding school. Let's just say I have family problems at home. I am a full boarder which means I stay every year and get to see my mum on the weekends or sometimes after school. I have 6 lessons a week, and half a school day on Saturday. But i get longer holidays...that's why. I'm usually in a dorm with 3 or 4 girls that i know. You get to choose who you board with and what dorm you want. We have regular nights where the matron cooks us special supper such as: chip butties, cookies, apple crumble etc. These night are only on Tuesday and Thursday. Monday,Wednesday and Friday is noodle night, so you bring your own noodles, bring them out into the common room with your PJ's on and just chill.

Every morning at around 7 the matron comes in and wakes us up and turns the light on. The light is the worst, especially in the morning. Most girls secretly sleep until 7:45 so they get a lie in. Plus all year 9's and 10's have to share a toilet, while all the Year 11's get their own because they have certain privileges such as: a shortcut of stairs to the common room, allowed to work upstairs, allowed to go to town after school, etc. It is soooooooo unfair.

We have all our lessons from 8:45 till 3:35. We come to our houses. The girls houses are Elizabeth for Year 7's and 8's. Cornwall and Alexandra for Year 9-11. Then we have the annex which is for sixth forms. Im in Cornwall, they say Alex is the best but really; it's too noisy and crowded. At Cornwall it's the exact opposite.

From 3:35 till 5:30 you can relax and do whatever you want. At 5:30 the bell rings calling for house meeting which happens every morning for registration, prep and at 5:30 for any news or if we have to go to chapel (that is a whole new story, basically its like church) after that we are dismissed for dinner. After eating me and my friends take a walk and selfies along the way. We get back to our house before 6:30 which means prep time. AKA Homework Time. Year 9's prep is from 6:30 till 7:30 and because i'm Year 10 our prep is from 6:30 till 8:00. Trust me, that is along time for me because it ruins my schedule of shower, noodles, fun, bed. Now all that will be delayed just because of an extra half hour being added on.

On Friday is film night so after prep when your washed and dressed in your PJ's. The matron puts on a random film and it's just a chilled session. After that we are sent to bed and woken up at 7 in the morning on a SATURDAY!!!!!!!! When classes finish at 12 on a Sat. We come back to the house get dressed, you can decide to have lunch at school or in town. Your limit of money is £10, no more. You have to be back at the house before 5. After 5 you can watch movies, go to other houses and yeah do what you want to.

Cooking Monster and The Good Wife......

I love cooking. Well mostly baking. I haven't created something amazing yet. The only cake so far that I have baked is a victoria sponge cake which on my first try was absolutely delicious.

I first fell in love with baking when watching Bake Off. The empathy really got to me. Especially in one episode, at the final stage they had to make any cake they wanted but it had to be a theme related to them. I f it was me i would do a cake on all my favourite TV shows. I have taken a liking to Pretty Little Liars and The Good Wife. Anyways..........

I have a lot of dreams for when I am older and one of them is to have my own bakery. You know; make my own pastries, decorate amazing cakes, sculpt figurines out of chocolate. If a baking show was on TV such as Cake Boss or Bake Off i would sit there in awe......just thinking if that were me.

But hey ho. I've wanted to be a barrister for a long time and I'm gonna stick to that. If not here is list of my careers starting with the one i really want....:

1)Barrister
2)Detective
3)Baker
4)Actress
5)Songwriter
6)Businesswoman
7)Show Jumper (horse riding)

I love watching law shows such as Judge Judy, Judge Geordie, Suits, The Good Wife and Silk. They are all good but my favourite is The Good Wife, it has a lot of drama in each episode and a variety of unexpected characters or scenarios you would least think of. Plus it has Michael J Fox from Back to the future, if you have not watched the film it is a must see.

I have completely gone off topic so I think I'll change the title.

So if you enjoy law and constant fighting i suggest you watch these shows. They are absolutely hilarious.

My Bangladesh Trip 2014

On April the 6th I went to Bangladesh (below India). When I got to the bangladeshi airport i met my mum and my uncle B, who works at the airport. (So we get to go past the security without waiting in the queue). It was also very very hot. Everyone was waiting when i got home in Sylhet, my hometown. They put flower chains round my neck and gave me roses, it was the sweetest welcoming I ever had, and the first.

Then me and my mum went to see the India vs Shrilanka cricket finals. My mum wanted India to win I wanted Shrilanka to win. In the end Shrilanka won. YAY!!! Most of all they had fireworks which was an amuse to the bengali people because they have never seen fireworks before. Then on our way back we were just about to get on a rickshaw (a 3 wheeled bicycle with a seat for two people) we saw a group of boys singing " Go shrilanka" I t was funny.

The thing about Bangladesh is that your free to be your own person, dye your hair purple or to go and see the bengal tigers, the extraordinary weaving by women and the street food, the people with giant sticks in their hands knocking on car windows to see if they want drinks, sweets, sans sur or candy floss.

Then came Bengali New Year in which everyone wore red and white saris make-up and hair. It was a festive time of the year. There was a massive market and a wooden london eye that spinned just like the one here in London. Toys, jewellery, wooden carved animals or pots. Everything you could imagine was there.

Although parts of Sylhet  copied restaurants like KFC or Pizza Hut.  The food tasted like it here. They had krushems in different flavours  like Vanilla Blue or Classic mojhito.

MovieStarPlanet

Does Anyone Know MovieStarPlanet (MSP)???

Ok so there's this whole website called Moviestarplanet. It's a website where you  create your own mini me. You go shopping, get pets friends and boyfriends. It's actually quite fun.
But then the bad side comes, you can get seriously addicted; no joke. Or you don't have money to get VIP so you can steal which is way out of league.
Although when you go on it, its like a mini version of you where no-one can tell you how to dress.
My favourite thing about MSP is that when you go shopping there are different themes which are like
Valentines Day
Fairytale
Boonies(MSP pets)
Beach Party
Italy
Ancient Greece
There are loads more. Try not to get addicted that bad. Keep to the limits and then you can do whatever you want.
